چکیده
Background: The hip joint is frequently involved in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). It more common with polyarticular, systemic and enthesitis-related forms severe uncontrolled disease. Chronic arthritis leads to irreversible damage marked impairment of quality life functional limitation [1]. Unilateral or bilateral occurs 30- 50% children JIA [2]. Objectives: aim this study assess the pattern involvement a cohort Egyptian patients terms epidemiological aspects, pattern, bilateralism, associated extra-articular manifestations, radiological features, treatment prognosis. Methods: We included 179 who fulfilled International league against rheumatism criteria for JIA. Epidemiological, clinical, radiological, therapeutic parameters were assembled analyzed. Hip was assessed using semi-quantitative score pain tenderness hip, CARSH radiographic Harris score. JADAS-27 used assessment disease activity. Results: 113 girls 66 boys; female: male ratio nearly 2:1. age at onset mean 8.8±3 years (8.9±2.9 females 8.6±3.1 males). time 13.3±4.1 years. duration 4.5±2.9 Clinically; 20.1% cases had (12.8% unilateral 7.3% bilateral), while by imaging, around 30.7% have (19.6% 11.2% bilateral). 14.1±4.3, compared 12.9±4 among those no involvement. (either clinical imaging) 5.5±2.9 years, 4.1±2.9 (Figure 1). Figure 1. Difference between without Mean 13.5±6.2 16.3±6.3. commonest polyarticular followed arthritis. There strong significant correlation one hand score, other hand. Further, significantly correlated as well. Among involvement, 25% demonstrated destructive changes 30% showed growth abnormalities.
